A sediment basin is an embankment with a controlled outlet that detains stormwater runoff, resulting in the settling of suspended sediment. The basin provides treatment for the runoff as well as detention and controlled release of runoff, decreasing erosion and flood impacts downstream.

Custom made in-house to your particular job specifications
— Effective at removing suspended sand and loam
— May be both temporary and permanent control
— Can be used in combination with passive treatment
A sediment skimmer floats on the surface of the sediment basin as it fills and drains, releasing the cleanest water in the basin instead of draining from the bottom as conventional outlets do. The adjustable orifice regulates the filling and drawdown of the basin and improves efficiency. The skimmer drains the basin slowly over several days and at a constant rate to maximize settling.
Available in sizes from 1 1/2” to 8”
