HDPE (High-density polyethylene) pipe is a thermoplastic polymer with a high strength-to-density ratio used in the production of corrosion-resistant piping and geomembranes. Due to its durability, performance capabilities, and extensive service life, HDPE pipe is an outstanding value for drainage applications. Mainly used in stormwater management, culverts, storm sewers, highway and municipal drainage. Smaller diameters are available in rolls.
Protects slopes from erosion caused by overland flow
A series of pipes may be used to control drainage areas
greater than 5 acres in size.
The pipe inlet sediment trap is a barrier surrounding a pipe inlet to capture sediment before it enters a closed drain system. The barrier may be made of concrete block and pipe filter stone or stone riprap and filter stone. The barrier provides both filtration and detention for sediment to settle in the excavated area.
Benefits: Removes sediment before it enters a closed conveyance system.
Re-grading and stabilization the control area after construction.
